The school
grew steadily from then on, running under
the administration of the Botswana Power Corporation. In
1995 the school was formed into a non-profit company controlled
by a Board of Governors. This was done with the view to
the school eventually becoming totally independent. This
happened in 2006. Today, the school caters for the
needs of pupils in the Palapye, Serowe and Mahalapye districts
looking for a top class English Medium education for their
children. A high school opened in January 2006 and offers
the Cambridge International Examinations.
Kgaswe now has an enrolment of close to 400 pupils and
boasts excellent academic and sporting facilities and a
dedicated staff of fully qualified, experienced teachers,
proficient in the English language.
The school is a member of the Conference
of Heads of Private Schools of Botswana (CHOPS) and the
Independent Schools
Association of Southern Africa (ISASA).
We aim to provide a sound education and
a balanced curriculum within a purposeful environment.
Each student is encouraged to develop self-confidence and
to assume responsibility for themselves and others. Throughout
their years at Kgaswe we expect all students will benefit
from their experiences and acquire the necessary skills
for successful transfer to tertiary education and on into
adult life. |
